BACKGROUND
Following an apprenticeship with various licensed investigators ( 1979 - 1984), Cheryl took the California State Exam and obtained her original license on December 30, 1984. From 1984 until 1991 Cheryl’s agency specialized in all forms of Workers Compensation Defense. California insurance companies hired CRF Investigations for surveillance, AOE/COE, subrogation, wrongful death, third party subrogation, serious and willful claims.
Under License #10845, CRF Investigations was founded in Long Beach,
CA in 1984. By 1990, Cheryl had nine field investigators and an office manager. In building the business further, a property in Arizona was purchased in 1991. She then obtained her Arizona Investigators License, # 9110001.
The California office was closed in 1993, however Ms. Fischer still holds her California License. CRF Investigations was incorporated in
Arizona in 2002.
Ms. Fischer's experience as an Investigator in California included
conducting in-depth investigations to determine what liability an
insurance company, employer or third party had in a claim. Many
of the claims were psychiatric stress, wrongful death, chemical
poisoning and insurance fraud. These investigations
involved in-depth background analysis. Each claim required written or recorded statements from numerous
people, all levels of the company. Locating, examining, and
verifying records was also included for each assignment.
Photographs were needed in many cases involving scenes, equipment
and vehicles. After compiling all the information a detailed,
comprehensive report was submitted. Due to the complexity of the
cases, the reports were frequently 40 to 60 pages long, in
addition to all the appropriate documentation.
The last nine years Cheryl has worked as a Mitigation Specialist in
Capital Cases in which Death was noticed. Other cases during this time period required work as a criminal defense
investigator.
Given the years of working these cases, Ms. Fischer has developed an
eye for detail, the skill to integrate it into context, and the
ability to gain the trust of people in all walks of life. This
ensures a complete and comprehensive investigative
report.
Continuing education includes attendance of two conference/seminars on
average a year.
Formal Education includes three years of undergraduate studies in psychology and sociology at the University of Wisconsin, 2 years of
photographic science at the University of Arizona,
and a Bachelors in Psychology through Prescott College.
